Bursaries
About WAGE Bursaries
Wage Bursaries are designed to support healthcare professionals by providing financial assistance to cover part of their salary while undertaking training, education, or research. Our aim is to reduce the financial barriers that may prevent talented clinicians and researchers from furthering their expertise. WAGE is committed to supporting professional development and enhancing the care of patients in Wales.

We are delighted to offer our members the opportunity to apply for funding that supports activities aiding professional growth and, in turn, improves the care of patients in Wales with gastrointestinal and liver conditions.

Our bursary fund is awarded at the discretion of the WAGE Core Executive Group, subject to available funding. Support may cover activities undertaken in the last year or planned for the near future. Funding can be used for recognised training courses, sabbaticals at centres of excellence, or other proposals that demonstrate clear professional value.

Applicants must show how their training or research will benefit healthcare services in Wales and provide evidence of support from clinical, academic, or managerial supervisors.
