Do you want to be part of the leadership team for the national professional organisation for the Gastroenterology and Endoscopy community in Wales?

Do you want to help shape how we communicate, engage and connect with our members, stakeholders and the wider public?

The Welsh Association for Gastroenterology and Endoscopy (WAGE) is looking to appoint a Communications Lead to join its Executive Committee for a period of two years.

WAGE was established in 2007 as the professional leadership group for Gastroenterology and Endoscopy in Wales. Our aim is to improve care for patients with gastrointestinal disorders by providing leadership, professional advice, collaboration, improved standards and by facilitating engagement between healthcare professionals, patients and key stakeholders.

As Communications Lead, you will play a central role in promoting the work of WAGE and strengthening engagement across our community. Working closely with the Executive Committee, you will lead the organisation's communications strategy, oversee our social media presence, support website development and maintenance, and help ensure our activities, events and achievements are effectively communicated to members and the wider healthcare community.

This is an exciting opportunity to gain national leadership experience, contribute to the professional development of gastroenterology and endoscopy services in Wales, and help shape the future direction of the organisation.

Expressions of interest are invited from registered healthcare professionals that are registered WAGE Members.

Attendance will be required at Executive Committee Meetings, the Annual General Meeting and the WAGE Spring Conference. Reasonable expenses will be covered.

Applications are welcome by submission of a CV and a personal statement of no more than 500 words outlining why you are interested in the role and why you feel you would be successful.

Completed applications should be submitted to admin@wage.org.uk by 7th August 2026.
