Dr Marek Czajkowski Receives WAGE President’s Award 2026

Congratulations to Dr Marek Czajkowski, Clinical lead for Endoscopy Unit at Grange University Hospital, Aneurin Bevan University Health Board (ABUHB), who received this year’s President’s Award at the Welsh Association for Gastroenterology and Endoscopy (WAGE) Autumn Meeting, held on 8–9 October 2026 in Cardiff.

Dr Czajkowski has made significant contributions to endoscopy practice, education and innovation, particularly in advanced therapeutic endoscopy and supporting the development of the multidisciplinary workforce.

Earlier this year, he also received the 2026 European Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ESGE) Innovation Award in Milan last May, recognising his contribution to innovation in endoscopy.

Receiving both national and European recognition in the same year is a fantastic achievement.
