Dear WAGE members,
Crohn's & Colitis UK is delighted to announce that the 2026 Targeted Call is now open.
Outline applications are invited by 12 noon on Thursday, 9 April 2026. Grants of up to a maximum of £150,000 are available for up to three years.
Highlight Notice: Top 10 Impacts of Crohn’s and Colitis
This year, a highlight notice will run on the areas identified in the Top 10 Impacts of Crohn’s and Colitis. These are areas of importance to people living with IBD, which have not received significant attention to date and where there is still room for progress to be made.
Applications in other areas of research are also welcome. However, research addressing the areas highlighted in the report will be prioritised.
Types of Projects Considered
The charity will consider smaller or innovative projects, including feasibility and pilot studies, as well as mainstream research. All applications must directly address one of the specified priorities.
How to Apply
Applications will need to be submitted on the grant portal, Flexigrant. More information can be found on the website under “Looking for Funding?”
Shortlisted applicants at the outline stage will be notified in May and invited to submit a full proposal.
Those who may be interested are encouraged to share this within their networks and to get in touch with the Crohn’s & Colitis Research Team with any queries.
