Are you ready to take a leading role in shaping the future of gastroenterology and endoscopy services across Wales? The Welsh Association of Gastroenterology and Endoscopy (WAGE) invites passionate professionals to step forward as Vice President who will go on to become President.


About WAGE and Its Mission


WAGE was established in 2007 as the professional leadership group for Gastroenterology in Wales. The aim is to improve care of patients with gastrointestinal disorders by providing leadership, professional advice, collaboration, improved standards and by facilitating patient interface..


The Role of Vice President


The Vice President position is a two-year appointment starting in October 2026, followed by a two-year term as President. This progression ensures continuity in leadership and allows the Vice President to gain valuable experience before taking on the full responsibilities of the presidency.



Who Should Apply


WAGE invites expressions of interest from members who meet the role profile requirements. Ideal candidates will have:


  • A strong commitment to improving gastroenterology and endoscopy services

  • Experience in leadership or committee roles within healthcare or professional organisations

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • A current CV highlighting relevant experience

  • A personal statement of no more than 500 words explaining why you are interested in the Vice President role and why you believe you would be successful
