The Welsh Association of Gastroenterology and Endoscopy (WAGE) is seeking to appoint a member of the Association as Treasurer to lead on the safeguarding of the organisation’s finances and work in collaboration with the Executive Committee to ensure that strategic and operational plans are aligned to resources.
WAGE was established in 2007 as the professional leadership group for Gastroenterology in Wales. The aim is to improve care of patients with gastrointestinal disorders by providing leadership, professional advice, collaboration, improved standards and by facilitating patient interface.
A strategic plan has been developed to inform the work plan and delivery of the plan requires sound financial governance and the Treasurer will work in collaboration with the Executive Committee of WAGE to clarify the financial implications of proposals and other financial matters.
We are seeking to appoint a Treasurer from October this year to support the President and Executive Committee for a period of 5 years.
Expressions of interest are invited from WAGE members who satisfy requirements of the role profile. The post holder will become a member of the WAGE Executive Committee for the tenure of this role.
