President’s Medal

The WAGE Executive Committee is committed to recognition of member’s achievements. Three Presidents medals will be awarded at the autumn conference on the 7th of October 2022 to members who have made exceptional or significant contributions to Gastroenterology or Endoscopy services in Wales.
Three categories of medal will be awarded, and nominations are invited for full members, trainees and nurses or allied healthcare professional. Eligibility criteria for consideration include service improvement, research, and leadership.
Members can propose themselves (if seconded by another member), or individuals they believe merit an award using the attached nomination form which will be considered by the Core Executive Team.
Nominations must be received by the 16th of September 2022. The Core Executive Group will consider nominations against the key principles and award medals based on majority vote.
Key Principles:
- Promoting excellence in Gastroenterology or related discipline
- Benefit to service
- Level of innovation
- Aligning with WAGE strategic plan
- Significant contribution to advances in the field
