The Welsh Association of Gastroenterology and Endoscopy (WAGE) is seeking to appoint a member of the association to lead the development of the Nursing and Allied Health Professional network and provide ongoing leadership to colleagues. The Nursing and Allied Healthcare Professional Network will support the executive committee to ensure that strategic and operational plans are delivered, and members needs are met.
WAGE was established in 2007 as the professional leadership group for Gastroenterology in Wales. The aim is to improve care of patients with gastrointestinal disorders by providing leadership, professional advice, collaboration, improved standards and by facilitating patient interface.
A strategic plan has been developed to inform the work plan and delivery of the plan requires multi professional collaboration. The Lead NAHP will become a member of the Executive Committee of WAGE and ensure effective two- way communications between nurses and allied healthcare professionals and WAGE.
We are seeking to appoint a Lead NAHP from October this year to support the President and Executive Committee establish the network and provide ongoing leadership for a period of 2 years.
Expressions of interest are invited from WAGE members who satisfy requirements of the role profile.
