WAGE Annual Meeting: Call for Case reports instead of research abstracts

posted in: Uncategorised | 0

As we are planning for a “Big WAGE BSG Meeting” in the Spring we have decided to defer the call for research abstracts till then, so as to give the Spring meeting as great an academic depth as we can.  For the Autumn meeting we wish for trainees to present case reports that have lessons the audience can learn from.  For example in 2012 when we last had such cases Dr Allison presented a patient with a delayed diagnosis of metastatic medullary thyroid cancer presenting with chronic diarrhoea and weight loss.  Please submit a case summary in up to 70 words, and add up to 30 words a description of lessons learned.  Case reports should be submitted to alison.davey@wales.nhs.uk by close of play on Monday 18 September.
